Mo Scarpelli is a non-fiction filmmaker with experience filming human stories in 20+ countries around the globe. Her feature-length documentary film FRAME BY FRAME, shot exclusively in Afghanistan, premiered at SXSW in Documentary Competition and has since garnished more than a dozen film festival awards as well as a Cinema Eye Honors nomination.
Mo has worked with major international non-profit organizations such as charity: water, the (RED) Campaign, and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN); she’s worked with brands including Whirlpool, the GAP and Isaac Mizrahi.
Mo is a recipient of the Speranza Foundation Female Filmmaker Award, the Lena Sharpe Award for Persistence of Vision (Seattle Intl Film Festival), and the Reel Women Direct Prize (Cleveland Intl Film Festival).
